AllianceBernstein National Municipal Income Fund Inc (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from regular federal income tax by investing all of its net assets in municipal securities. The Fund also invests at least 75% of its assets in investment-grade municipal securities or unrated municipal. The Fund may invest up to 25% of its net assets in municipal bonds rated below investment-grade and unrated municipal bonds. The Fund intends to invest primarily in municipal securities that pay interest that is not subject to the federal Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), but may invest without limit in municipal securities paying interest that is subject to the federal AMT. AllianceBernstein L.P. is the Adviser of the Fund.
