Invesco Asia Trust plc is a United Kingdom-based investment company. The Company`s objective is to invest in a diversified portfolio of Asian and Australasian companies. It invests in the equity securities of companies listed on the stock markets of Asia (ex Japan) including Australasia. It also invests in unquoted securities up to 1% of the value of the Company`s gross assets, and in warrants and options up to a maximum of 1% of total assets. It invests up to 1% of its total assets in one company or group of companies and collective investment funds and 1% in aggregate in unquoted investments. It invests in various industrial sectors, such as technology hardware and equipment, capital goods, software and services, telecommunication services, insurance, banks, automobiles and components, semiconductor and semiconductors equipment, real estate, commercial and professional services, utilities, retailing, capital goods, transportation, and food and staples retailing, among others.
