DWS Municipal Income Trust, formerly DWS Municipal Income Trust, is a closed-end, diversified management investment company. Under the investment management agreement with Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. (the Advisor), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, the Advisor directs the investments of the Fund in accordance with its investment objectives, policies and restrictions. In the normal course of business, the Fund may enter into contracts with service providers that contain general indemnification clauses. The Fund`s maximum exposure under these arrangements is unknown as this would involve future claims that may be made against the Fund that have not yet been made.
