Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE) is an edge-to-cloud platform-as-a-service company. The Company’s segments include Compute, High Performance Compute & Mission-Critical Systems (HPC & MCS), Storage, Advisory and Professional Services (A & PS), Intelligent Edge, Financial Services (FS), and Corporate Investments. The Compute portfolio offers both general-purpose servers for multi-workload computing and workload-optimized servers. HPC & MCS portfolio offers workload-optimized servers designed to support specific use cases. FS provides investment solutions, such as leasing, financing, information technology (IT) consumption, and utility programs and asset management services, for customers that facilitate technology deployment models and the acquisition of complete IT solutions, including hardware, software and services from HPE and others. Corporate Investments include Hewlett Packard Labs, which is responsible for research and development.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a public US IT company, formed in 2015 after the split of Hewlett-Packard into two independent brands. Now Hewlett Packard Enterprise is engaged in server and network equipment, storage systems, and the creation of cloud infrastructures.

After the split, the new company got most of the assets, $80 bn of $110 bn, as well as hardware and software manufacturers. HPE continued the process of acquisitions, acquiring such well-known enterprises as Silicon Graphics International, SimpliVity, Blue Data and other manufacturers of supercomputers and software for machine learning and Big Data.

To the date, the company's staff has grown to 61,600 people, and 2021 revenue 2021 amounted to $27 bn. It is also ranked 106th in the Fortune 500, the list of the largest US and global corporations.

In the restructuring, all current Hewlett-Packard shareholders received HPE shares. Their total amount was 1.8 bn. 90% of the assets went to large institutional investors such as Dodge Cox, The Vanguard Group and others.
