Equitable Financial Corp. is a holding company of Equitable Bank (the Bank). The Bank is a Nebraska-based community bank. The Bank is engaged primarily in the business of attracting deposits from the general public and using those funds to originate commercial loans, agricultural loans and one- to four-family residential real estate loans. The Bank invests a portion of its assets in securities issued by the United States Government and its agencies, the United States Government-sponsored enterprises and state and municipal governments. The Bank also invests in mortgage-backed securities primarily issued or guaranteed by the United States Government-sponsored enterprises. The Bank's principal sources of funds are deposits and principal and interest payments on loans and investments, as well as borrowings from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka. The Bank also provides retail brokerage services in Grand Island and North Platte, under the name Equitable Wealth Management.
